There are multiple transportation options available on race day. Due to traffic congestion caused by the race, we recommend that you use one of our shuttle services OR public transportation on race day.

Please be aware that the race startsat 7:00 a.m. so plan accordingly.

RACE DAY SHUTTLE SERVICES -
2 OPTIONS

Option 1 - BAUER'S LUXURY SHUTTLE SERVICE

Bauer's Luxury Shuttle Service will provide the official transportation service for this year's race. Bauer's eco-friendly, luxury shuttles will provide transportation to and from the event. There will be five (5) convenient locations to choose from. Enjoy air-conditioned luxury buses, and a complimentary gift. Reserve your own guaranteed luxury seat today. Pre-purchase a Bauer's shuttle sticker online to make your event day easier.

BAUER'S POST-RACE DOWNTOWN EXPRESS

One way express shuttles from Finish Line to Starting Line Area will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

BAUER'S EXPRESS BART SHUTTLE:

One way express shuttles from Finish Line to Bart will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

BAUER'S ROUNDTRIP PARK & RIDE OPTIONS:

Important: Roundtrip options can only be purchased online or at the Greater Body Expo. Park & Ride passes will not be offered on race day.

Emeryville Park & Ride (Emeryville Amtrak Station)
Before the race the shuttle will pick up from the Emeryville Park & Ride lot at 5:30 a.m. and take you to the Start Line. After the race the shuttle will depart from the designated park & ride load zone located at the Finish Line at 11:30 a.m. and return to the Emeryville Park & Ride lot. 

Millbrae Park & Ride (Millbrae BART and Caltrain Station)
Before the race the shuttle will pick up from the Millbrae Park & Ride (BART and Caltrain station at Millbrae Avenue) at 5:30 AM and take you to the Start Line. After the race the shuttle will depart from the designated park & ride load zone located at the Finish Line at 11:30 a.m. and return to the Millbrae Park & Ride lot. CALTRAIN Riders – This will be your best option on race day, please use this route to/from the event. 

Mill Valley Park & Ride (Manzanita Parking Lot, Shoreline Hwy)
Before the race the shuttle will pick up from the Mill Valley Park & Ride lot at 5:30 a.m. and take you to the Start Line. After the race the shuttle will depart from the designated park & ride load zone located at the Finish Line at 11:30 a.m. and return to the Mill Valley.

Option 2 - SMTA SPECIAL EVENT
SHUTTLE SERVICE

The fare for the Special Event Muni Shuttle sticker is $12. You will receive a sticker to place on your runner bib that is valid on all Muni service race day from 4:45 AM until 5 PM with the exception of Cable Car service. Muni will provide express service to and from the starting line on event day from various locations in the City. More information on Muni routes and schedules will be posted closer to event day.

MUNI FASTPASSES/CLIPPER CARDS ARE NOT VALID FOR MUNI SPECIAL EVENT SERVICE. YOU MUST HAVE A MUNI SPECIAL EVENT STICKER IN ORDER TO RIDE THIS SERVICE.

OTHER TRANSIT OPTIONS

BART - Bay Area Rapid Transit
BART will be open for the Bay to Breakers Presented by craigslist Race at 5 AM on Sunday, May 19th. Trains will depart at 20-minute intervals beginning at 5 AM following the normal BART schedule.  BART encourages runners to get a "Clipper" card in advance or to purchase 2 one-way BART Blue paper tickets and place them in a "sweat" proof pocket to avoid delays on the day of the race. CALTRAIN SERVICE
Caltrain will be operating an early train service for Bay to Breakers Presented by craigslist . More information on Caltrain routes and schedules will be posted closer to event day.HERE.

SAMTRANS SERVICE
SamTrans will have detours for Routes KX and 292 from 5:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. More information on SamTrans routes and schedules will be posted closer to event day.

GOLDEN GATE FERRY
To celebrate the San Francisco original Bay to Breakers 12K, arrive at this year’s race relaxed and ready to go by riding Golden Gate Larkspur Ferry. With the race start time at 7 am, at Mission and The Embarcadero just a few blocks from the Golden Gate San Francisco Ferry Terminal (behind San Francisco Ferry Building), let Golden Gate Larkspur Ferry get you to the race on relaxed and ready to run.

SPECIAL DISCOUNTED PARKING
FOR REGISTRANTS

AMPCO System Parking at the Embarcadero Center (1EC, 2EC, 3EC, and 4EC) will again be offering their special $10 parking rate on Race Day for registered race participants. Show your race bib when you pay for parking to receive the discounted price. The $10 price is for Embarcadero Center parking only. See map below for locations. Please note: The Start Line is a few blocks south of these parking garages.
